Correspondence with Siddiq Khan
An (ongoing) exchange of correspondence between myself and Siddiq Khan about what we can do to hasten the end of this rotten world can be found on his Love Letters Journal.
It seems that bloggers typically attempt to describe themselves by means of lists of trivial attitudes and commodified preferences. Such a degrading practice may accurately express the commodification of subjectivity but it is hardly desirable. If we are little more than our habits of consumption, must we be so damned pleased about it? I think not. Suffice it to say, then, that I am a white collar worker living somewhere in Europe.
NOTE: The blog has proved an increasingly important means by which capitalism provides an illusion of communication and community to individuals who remain fundamentally separated from themselves, from others, and from a history that for all practical purposes is dominated by the state and the separate economy. To discourage such an easy but false sensation of dialogue, and that unhappy propensity for instantaneous communication untrammelled by serious reflection and practical consequences that blogs encourage, I have disabled the online comment facility on this blog. However, I welcome correspondence at aqrj35(at)dsl.pipex.com from readers who have a substantive and practical interest in the revolutionary perspectives expressed on this site.
